COMMUNICATION TO TRAINING INSTITUTIONS

In the letter sent to training institutions dated 16th July 2019 to Vice-Chancellors/Principals/Directors/In Charge, kasneb programmes kasneb has communicated following important communications:

a) Kasneb has reduced the number of days for the administration of its examination from 5 days to 3 days with effect from the November 2019 sitting. Following this development, it will neither be possible for candidates to combine levels in the certificate and Diploma examinations, nor parts in the professional examinations as earlier communicated (20th February 2019)




b) With the roll out of the certificate in Accounting and Management Skills (CAMS), which is an institution-Based examination,, we wish to further advise that with effect from 1 July 2020, only accredited institutions will be allowed to train for kasneb courses and administer the continuous assessment tests (CATs) which will constitute 15% of the total marks.

c) Trainers from accredited institutions who wish to be considered for marking kasneb examination are encouraged to submit their applications including curriculum vitae, copies of their academic and professional certificates and recommendation from the respective training institution. The application should be received on or before Friday 23rd August 2019.

POINTS TO NOTE:

  1. It will now take only 3 days for all the papers to be done,That is starting with November 2019 exams.
  2. You can not combine levels or Parts but you can still combine sections in the same part.
  3. Only Accredited institutions will be allowed to train CAMS, if not accredited you can still train Diplomas and Professionals (After all Accreditation is a process not a one day event).
